This Weeks Thread: Turtleson Golf Apparel
A few years ago we were introduced to Turtleson, a men’s line born out of Bristol, Tennessee by a couple of guys who were intimately involved with the creation of Peter Millar several years prior.  With an eye for premium fabrics and manufacturing, Turtleson presents colorful polos, wovens, layering pieces, and lifestyle-oriented outerwear.  The colors and textures are richer than almost anything else out there today, with what I’d consider distinctly southern preppy formality, though a casual sense has worked its way into the line of late (i.e. – the incredibly comfortable Wallace Hoodie).  Fit is what I’d call generically modern; that is, a traditional, relaxed fit in the body and around the neck, but with slightly shorter sleeves and semi spread collar.
Turtleson can be found in many top tier private country clubs and men’s clothiers.  Polos range from $90-$120 at retail, and as with anything, you typically get what you pay for in terms of quality of craftsmanship.
Where Turtleson really shines is in its fall collection, where few can match the hand (a fabric’s feel to the touch) of some of the finest fabrics on the market.  The Pima cottons, merino wools, and cashmeres really drip of comfort and luxury without seeming too formal.
To put it bluntly, we’re big fans of this brand and think you will be, too.  Give them a try.
