Tiger Woods Signs With Bridgestone Golf
Posted on December 13 2016
Quite simple it came as no real shock as Nike Golf declared during the summer season that it was moving away from manufacturing clubs and balls to focus on golf apparel as well as footwear. Woods happens to be the 1st Nike signee to shift out of the sports giant ever since the notification of Nike’s departure.
The 14-time Major winner Tiger Woods signs a multi-year contract with Bridgestone to use their golf balls during tournament play. Right after Nike announced they are out of the hard goods business, Woods began testing out other balls to find the ones that performed best. Tiger was using Bridgestone golf balls during the Hero World Challenge, so the announcement comes with no surprise.
The Bridgestone ball that tiger is using is the Tour B330-S ball. It incorporates a harder TOURcore design to raise ball speed for longer distance. The NEW patented SlipRes cover generates optimal greenside overall performance, much higher friction for more spin from the rough and less spin off the driver for increased distance.
The 14 Time Major Champion, kicks off appearing in advertising campaigns for the Bridgestone company on January 1, 2017. Woods tweeted out that he was thrilled to be playing with the latest product.
It symbols the end of an era for Tiger playing Nike golf balls. We all remember Nike’s YouTube video featuring his birdie putt on No. 16 at The Masters in 2005 that was viewed 3.6 million times
